The 13th Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial (BEAU) will be exhibited in the Exhibition Hall Arquería de los Nuevos Ministerios in Madrid from February 8th, 2018.

The Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism is an initiative of the Ministry of Development in collaboration with the Higher Council of Spanish Architects’ Guilds (CSCAE) and the Arquia Foundation. The 13th Biennial shows the most outstanding interventions in terms of cultural heritage, urbanism, landscape and city, as well as research conducted in the field of architecture and urbanism of the last two years (2013-2015). The theme chosen for this edition of the Biennial, “Alternatives”, is defined by its directors as a “place of confluence of the diverse”. The Biennial is a display of alternatives, as corresponds to this time of change and renewal that Spanish architecture is undergoing. The panorama of works and projects of all types presented in this exhibition is a good example of the recent transformation in the architect’s way of working, they have managed to find new work scenarios. The exhibition consists of all the selected works, finalists and winners, both from the 13th Biennial of Spanish Architecture and Urbanism and the 1st Exhibition Research in Architecture and Urbanism, that deserve to be highlighted as useful, professionals and cultural elements, for knowledge, historical reflection and research. The 13th BEAU is a great opportunity to open the way for architecture in society and present it in a different context.

HipoTesis is represented twice with HipoTesis Numbered Issues and HipoTesis “Block∣Buster”.
