Tomorrow I will be talking about the experience of my doctoral thesis -scope, theme, objectives, methodology, results- in the course Landscape Architecture and Research at Master’s level, lead by Associate Professor Juanjo Galán and focused on giving tools to students to prepare a research plan to become a doctoral thesis. The talk will be at 18:30 at Miestentie 3 (seminar room 332).
On the course students obtain the skills to carry out landscape architecture research and participate in the scientific debate in the discipline. After completing the course students are aware of the theoretical frame of reference of landscape architecture research. They recognize the viewpoints regarding various landscape themes, as well as the research starting points and can formulate research questions linked with them. In particular, the students are expected to acquire the basics to develop a research activity, and in particular, to prepare a Dissertation Research Plan as required in Aalto University.
