Summary
The analysis of the historic city of León through the connections of its public spaces, the project proposes to incorporate the Plaza del Conde Luna where it is located into a system of interconnected public spaces, taking advantage of its central position in relation to the other open spaces of the city centre. The intervention aims to create a continuity of public spaces serving the city and its citizens. An open, porous building, where a true symbiosis between interior and exterior is created through the blurring of its limits. For it, two public plazas are created at different levels, around which a series of pieces are overlapped so that public areas are not just the leftovers of the built ones. The aim is to reinterpret the historic city structure through a public building from an architectural idea that speaks of spatial, structural, material and experiential cohesion.
